Chandelier Pt.2

She heads up stairs, if the city was to instantly black out at that very moment, it wouldn't matter to her with the glow she was generating. Inside the apartment she twirls and jumps as she feels a new opportunity arise.

Everyone in the world has something special about them whether it be a talent or just the ambition to thrive for success but not everyone gets noticed. So for her to get even be acknowledge is something huge. It's almost like putting on a jacket and finding money in the pocket, then after that its up to you what you going to do with it.We blame it on luck and say "Damn, she is a lucky ass bitch." But can't understand why they are "unfortunate" in life. There isn't such a thing as good or bad luck. There is only the drive for what you want.

"Hey." he says as he walks out the kitchen holding a fork.
She jumped holding her chest afraid her heart was going to pop out, "Oh my God. You scared me."
He then greets her with a kiss. "You seem very happy today."
"Yes I am. I have a job interview on Monday. It could be something very big for me."
"Not bad. How did that happen?" he asked.
They sit in the living room and she begins to explain how everything happened. From meeting Mr. Walker to being driven home.

"Wow. That's amazing. And a great opportunity."he responded after hearing the story.
He then continues back into the kitchen finishing what he was cooking. That night they ate in front of the TV and when they were finished they cuddled up till the wee hours. Talking about how good it would be if she got the job and how it could easily further her career. Then they started to laugh as he would make fun of her of how she would get meeting celebrities.
The laughs ended and she went to sleep. He stood up cleaning the dishes and the kitchen, and then went into bed. That weekend he took it off from work because with the hectic schedule of work and school, he finally wanted to spend a whole day with her. They got up really early and began their day with some work outs. After that, while he was taking a shower and getting ready she made breakfast for the both of them. She presented him with a plate of scrambled eggs with shredded cheddar cheese on top, pancakes, sausages with a side of strawberries and oranges. Still with a towel around his waist they sat down at the table and ate.
"So what are the plans for today?" she asked, letting him or should i say allowing him to take charge and make all the plans. They way it should be.
Putting down his orange juice, he answers "Don't worry i have a big surprise. So wear something nice 'cause we going out."
She got giddy like a little girl being told that they were getting a pony for Christmas. She quickly up and went get ready.

It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon when they finally got ready. Or when she finally got ready.
"Wow. You are a sight for sore eyes." he said as he stared.
She smiled. "What's that even suppose to mean."
"I would eat you out right now. Is that better?"
They both laughed. Heading downstairs he had a cab waiting for them which he called in advance. He helped her in the back seat mesmerized how her dress complimented the curves on body and how her shoes made her calves pop. The cab driver already knew where they were going so he didn't have to say anything. She felt like it was her first date all over again. There were butterflies in her stomach and she kept blushing as he would whisper in her ears throughout the ride. He would sometimes grab her knee when the car would hit a pothole.
In her eyes he was radiant and in control, and she loved every moment of it. Driving down the highway near the river the sun would shine through the window and give him a glow. While he was looking towards the river, she would sneak a smell of the cologne he had on. It turned her on.
They finally got to their destination, the driver got out the car, came around and opened the door for them. In front of a fancy tall building she wondered what they were doing there. She grabbed her man by the arm and let him lead. Into the building they went. "Where are we going?" she asked. He turn to look at her and said nothing, but his eyes spoke. Into the elevator towards the 42nd floor they went.

When the elevator open there was a hostess standing there. He gave her his name and off she took them to  their table which was by the window. It was a revolving restaurant which showed all of the city skyline. The waiter helped both of them seat and gently but with manners placed the napkin across their laps. With the sun beaming through the window reflecting off her face, he fell in love all over again.
"You look like a chandelier." he told her
She put a dumb face, "What does that mean?"
"It's those things they hang from the ceiling that's always in those fancy ballroom parties. Like in Cinderella."
Rolling her eyes she responds. "I know what is it. I'm saying, why are you calling me that?"
He laughed to himself, "It's just the way you carry yourself, so elegant. And you look so beautiful tonight. You light up the whole room."
She blushed, she didn't know what to say. The waiter came and they ordered, the first thing that arrived to the table was the expensive bottle of wine. They barely get any time to themselves he thought the occasion called for it plus they were also celebrating her big interview. The whole night they couldn't keep their eyes off each other. Talking about nothing, every so often glancing off to the view that the restaurant gave.
Later in the evening after eating and drinking all of the wine. The sun slowly went down and the sky had swirls of purple and blue with little light bulbs peeking. They were both fueled by the romantic scenery, lust and of course the effect of the wine. They left.

Walking the streets talking about all of their future and how the best type of success is the type you can share with someone. And how they were both happy to have each other to grow into successful people with. Her feet began to hurt and he hailed a cab as they went back to their apartment. As soon as the door closed behind him they were at each other. She slipped out of her dress, all she was wearing was her strapless bra. His eyes wide, "You wasn't wearing any" She didn't let him finish as she kissed him and then pulled him by the tie towards the room.
